Information for New Students and Families

Things to Bring

The following are suggested items for new students to bring.  Please contact our intake staff with any questions, including information about shipping items to the property.

  • 4 pairs of work pants , 2 pairs of jeans/casual , 1 pair of dress pants
  • 7 T-shirts and 2 dress shirts
  • 1 package handkerchiefs
  • 7 pairs underwear
  • 7 pairs of socks and 2 pairs of dress socks

  • 2 pairs of thermal underwear
  • 1 pair dress shoes , 1 pair work shoes, 1 pair tennis shoes
  • 1 winter coat and 1 spring jacket
  • 2 washcloths and towels
  • 1 comb or brush
  • 6 bars of soap, 3 deodorant, shampoo (please, no body wash, liquid soap, Old Spice, or others with a strong scent)

  • Shaving cream and razors
  • Calling card for weekly phone calls
  • 3 notebooks

  • $60 to keep in your student account at the Bridge for appointments and transportation to appointments
  • $20-$100 to use for canteen items

Please note, all hygiene items (soap, shampoo, shaving cream, deodorant) must be in new, sealed containers.


DO NOT BRING

  • Cell phones , Apple watches, tablets, CD/DVD players or any other electronics
  • Hand sanitizer, body wash , liquid soap, mouthwash, toothpaste
  • Contact Lenses - You must have glasses

  • Cologne

  • Any open containers

Family and Friends Day

Family and Friends Days are not currently open to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic.


Join us for a service on the second Sunday of each month at 11:00 AM at our Buckingham facility. There is a potluck meal and a time for fellowship following the service. 


Families may attend after the student has been in the program for a full 90 days​  

Families must not bring any tobacco, drug, or alcohol products in their vehicles or on the property

Families may not bring the students any items (clothing, letters, pictures, etc.) 

​Please arrive on the property between 10:30 and 11:00 AM   

Families are asked to bring a dish to share for the potluck meal
